Brief scene which focuses on cinematic models. Always looking for excuses to improve on lighting.
Detailed fantasy models created by Evermotion can be located at www.evermotion....
Other materials are from Unreal Marketplace and Unreal learning packages.

You did a really good job here. Secretly these are some of my favorite assets on the marketplace. I had plans of redoing this level with better detail, matinee effects etc but never got around to it.

Wow did you make those!?!? May I ask what you did in order to model/texture them? I think it is really stunning and I would like to learn modelling & texturing but I don't know how to start honoustly.

I have plans to release a speed design video of this interior soon. I recorded it all but it was rather long so this weekend i'll figure out how to compile it all. The materials were setup by me and don't fully showcase how glorious these models are. Was good practice though.

Going to cost around $1000 USD if you want to custom build a decent desktop computer. It's the cheapest way to get a computer for serious gaming or digital media, such as this, or video-editing.

Do you model and texture any models yourself? If so, you should do some foliage scenes with the new Megascans Texture library that just came out.

Kinda disappointed that there is no jumpscare at the end, cuz this has given me dem spooky vibes i love. Anyways, it looks ridiculously good (as always) and i would love to see a speed design of it if i am hones with ya' cuz i watch all of them! Do you plan on doing a tutorial on how to use Unreal Engine 4 correctly, and on where to get good models/textures from? I tried to start learning UE4 but there are no tutorials on the most recent version of it. But, never the less i like this, and as always i dropped a like. Keep up the good work mate :)

Haha. Yeah, don't want to upset subscribers with any jump scares. Glad you liked it. I hope to do tutorials eventually to help folks get started and teach some basics. I just have to find the time.

I hope you'll talk about how you approach lighting someday--the results you get here are quite nice. Aside from tinkering around in-engine, would you know any good resources for getting better at setting up lighting in general for UE4 (and the bits and and bobs that go into making it feel 'complete')?
@Maverick99
@Maverick99 8 жыл бұрын
Good lighting tutorials are not easy to come by and most have to be read. Took me awhile to start to get things right. I had experience using point and spot lights from the Creation kit so I had a general idea of how to get started. When you start baking lights and playing around with lightmass settings, lots of trial and error. You will also find loads of misconceptions online and so on. Only advice I can give you is to download Unreal engines demos, open the maps and study their lighting. It's how I learned.

Hey Maverick, splendid work as always. I'm just wondering if you're familiar with koooolalala's work with UE4 (he has stuff on youtube). Would like to know what you think of his process.
@Maverick99

I love his work and he is a big inspiration for me. I don't really know anything about his process though I wish I did. He is great at creating realistic materials and I believe he uses substance to achieve that. Would love to understand the light baking process more. That and how he exports his videos! Overall, love his work.
