Nice video. I caught my first keeper halibut on my kayak, right outside of Shelter Island boat launch. That stinger hook is a must when targeting halibut.

Adam, first thanks are in order! Winter time Socal fishing content is rarer than gold from Ophir. Loved your Halibut rig. Although you were not fortunate enough to catch a legal you demonstrated great patience by not quickly setting the hook on strikes 👍. I once gave my trash Barracuda to my Mexican neighbor and his wife made the best cerviche I've ever had. Oh is Cole your brother?

It happens that way sometimes haha. Viktor made barracuda when he was out here for us and it was actually pretty good! It might get a bad rap from sitting in gunny sacks, definitely a fish that needs to be taken care of
