Great video! One point though, the Casino on Catalina Island was never a gambling casino, it uses the word casino in the original Italian sense of meeting place, community center. Built in 1929 it was from the beginning a ballroom/cinema//etc.

24 miles to make the crossing, and you calculate about four to five hours for it. If my math is right, that means your sailboat travels at about the speed of a very brisk walk.
