Catalina Island trip in 13ft Boston Whaler

We took our 1996 Boston Whaler Dauntless 13 over to Catalina Island on a very calm day. Camped at a boat in only campsite called, Cabrillo Beach.

Nice video. I’ve been trying to find videos that travel to Catalina island from seal beach. I’m heading tomorrow for the first time on my own with a 21’ bayliner trophy, 150hp Mercury, I was concerned about the water getting aggressive in the afternoons.

Great video, Whaler 13's are great boats. I run mine a few miles out in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay all the time. Any issues with weight distribution with the heavy motor in the back?

I am looking at a 1996 13 Dauntless , same boat as yours but with a Yamaha Pro 50 instead of 40. I take it you like the boat? We would not be on open water...lakes and smaller bays.

Love it. I've recently upgraded my outboard to a 50 mercury 4 stroke. This is such a great boat. I do hope to upgrade to the 18 foot dauntless in a few years for more offshore adventures.
