I have so much to learn 😭 I bought a hoop recently and thought it would help me get into a fun exercise! I've started off with learning the isolation! I'm still pretty wobbly but I'm feeling the rhythm of it the more I practice 💫

What was the name of the one at 3:05 after the back arm roll thing but b4 the kick up it didnt list the name and thats the one i want to learn
@michelemccoy4 жыл бұрын
That is a 2 handed barrel roll! It's like an isolation but you turn your whole body. Happy Hooping!
@bohofab88019 жыл бұрын
Hey Michele, so the trick I was asking about is the "on body pass around" at 30Sec :-) Thank Youuuuuuuuuuuu xoxo
@michelemccoy9 жыл бұрын
Ooh! Ok that's what you meant :). I was never able to find a tutorial on it and eventually just figured it out myself...It's very similar to a vortex except instead of passing the hoop from one hand to the other while lifting the hoop up and down you just keep the hoop in the same place right below your waist at arms length. Pass the hoop from one hand to the other in front of your body then from that hand back to the other behind your body, like you would in a vortex. It's hard to do slowly because you need momentum to keep the hoop up and it helps if you spin with the hoop. I hope that helps some! Let me know if it's still not working for you! It's a fun trick :).

How long did it take to learn to chest hoop. I'm in a beginners rut. Been hooping for a month and a half and stuck on what I should learn next. Shoulder hooping seems so difficult to me
@michelemccoy8 жыл бұрын
Shoulder hooping was definitely very difficult for me to master! It took me about a month if not longer of at least an hour of practice everyday to finally get down shoulder hooping. Keep at it tho and watch lots of tutorials and you'll get it!

Wow. Thank you so much for getting back to me. I don't think I've ever gotten a reply to a comment on KZbin lol. You truly are a hoopspiration to me :) you are very talented. And I am a mom of two. And truly feel it is a great stress reliever and a happy place :). Love your videos
@mai65536 жыл бұрын
I'm in a really similar place to you, Amanda! WE GOT THIS! Sometimes I feel so impatient but I know it'll eventually click for me and the reward will be worth it. Also my friend recommended Camel pose in yoga to stretch my shoulders and open them, hope that helps you too!

Michele what size hoop do you recommend to start learning tricks?
@michelemccoy4 жыл бұрын
Measure from the ground to your bellybutton, and whatever that length is, is the size you'll want to start with! Err on the side of bigger if you have doubts. Watch this video for more: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJiqh6pmf8SLd5Y You can find a hoop that will fit you on my website: www.autumnflow.com Let me know if you have more qustions!

What kind of hoop are you using? I am a beginner and am trying to learn more off body tricks but my hoops feels way too heavy for any of that. Any suggestions?
@nexttopmodel2547 жыл бұрын
Andrea Giuria buy a smaller dance polypro hoop. I suggest 34“ for beginners. I have a 36" and it's a tad too big for my flow. Hope this helps. 😉

What size hoop do you use? is it PC tubing?
@michelemccoy8 жыл бұрын
In this video I'm using a beginner hoop that I made with irrigation tubing. But now that I'm more advanced I use polypro hoops. If you're looking for a hoop I'd highly recommend checking out Shelled Hoops. They make beautiful beginner and advanced hoops. And you can use my discount code "michelespins" for 10% off your order :)

No idea how to keep it flat
@michelemccoy4 жыл бұрын
Getting it flat comes with practice! Try jumping in the air as you lift the hoop to give it more momentum to flatten out.
