@CarrickLoyalists the war is not over. however the ira have been betrayed by ther leaders, they lack experience now and tactical knowledge however they are getting a lot of new recruits and some with thw skills to oranise the ira into the elite fighting force of 1969-2005. as long as people like you and the british army are in northern ireland the war still continues.

I was introduced to Brendan in 2007. We talked for about an hour. I'm so proud to have met the man, his love for the Irish people was so strong, but his heart was broken. He knew his fight and hopes for the socialist republic was lost forever. God bless you Brendan

@Lutonloyal, before 1921 we didn't have anything. The IRA and Republican Politicians throughout the years never gave up ! Given Dominion status but kept up the pressure and eventually got a 26 County Republic. And don't forget how far your average nationalist has come over the last 30 years. Civil rights ect.
