Dave I just re watched this episode and saw the 450 triple guy and was wondering what kind of lap times are you running on your bike on a race weekend at Thunder Hill East? Also you said you prefer a more planted tire was wondering what tires you run.

Lap times are 1.57's at Thunderhill, 1.47's at Sonoma and 1.54's at Button Willow. I choose the Bridgestone V02 slicks, soft front and medium rear.

Greeting from Scotland with a high of 55°F and seen as hot! Is it worthwhile measuring the rolling circumference of the different tyres or will it not make that much of a difference ?

Ah yes, the brisk summer temps of Scotland :) Yes, it is. Wet and slick tires differ substantially. That affects geometry accordingly.

How agressive can I go with my final drive ratio my current ratio is 40/14
@catalystreactionsbw6 жыл бұрын
Depends what bike it is. Most modern engines 600cc and over cannot go below a 14 tooth front sprocket due to chain angle. A 14 tooth has great initial drive but power falls off quickly. Final drive kits are mostly sold one tooth down in the front and 2 teeth bigger in the rear.

I stay with stock chain size unless it is a race bike
