Honestly, I love the balance that you both have with your parenting styles for rio, ocean & kingston! I was the same way with the two little boys I nannied. I still babysit the sweet boys, they're now 2 & 4! I am the same way with my kiddos at work, caring for them with a gentle heart but always making sure they learn, know right from wrong and keeping them safe! It's important for them to be heard, but also know right from wrong and to always be safe! You guys are incredible and loving parents and I truly love seeing the way you connect with the kiddos in every way! Caring for little ones with a gentle heart but a strong spirit is essential!

Door solution. Take a pool noodle cut it into a small piece. Cut it down the 1 long side (should look like a hot dog) put it on the door, high so kids can’t take it off. This SAVED my kids fingers 😊

When your busy, you could attach temporary door props at the top of the door where the kids cant reach. You could definitely rig something to help with the door closing fear/risk.

So earlier tonight I watched this vlog and as soon as it ended me and my friend had a discussion about regrets! She’s siding with Alexa while I’m lleaning more towards what Carlos was saying Eve though both sides are valid I do think most people have things they wish they could change. so glad kingston's finger is healing so well! I had my finger slammed into a car door when i was younger and it broke my entire finger. Ive had ptsd my whole life and get so triggered when my kids play with doors. my twins are two and their favorite thing is opening and closing their bedroom door and its stressed me out like no other, so i understands Alexa's stress
