Sailing Parlay Revival

3 жыл бұрын

After repairing our bulkheads inside, we start the next project which is to extend the boat by 1.5 feet. The Lagoon 450 has a very small bottom step, so we decide to extend the sugar scoop to create a nice swim platform. We also do it in a way that extends our waterline, so we may notice a small increase in stability and performance. Very exciting!

For those saying get back to sailing, please be patient. We have everything set up to get this job done in a few weeks, while paying cheap rates at a great yard, so we may as well get this job done now, which we have been wanting for a very long time. The tiny step is awful for loading things on and off the boat, diving, fishing surfing etc etc. This is going to pay dividends when crossing the pacific. We also got struck by lightning so have to do an electrical overhaul so it won’t be white Sandy beaches and palm trees for a couple months. Trust me, no one wants this more than I do.

@@kiwi_welltraveled4375 Try and look at the big picture. In the last two years the world population has grown by over 160 million people! Just put some scale to that figure, that is almost half of the US (Pop circa 328 million) In another two years the current population growth will have replaced the entire United States of America, so 4 million is neither here nor there! There are almost 8 BILLION people on this planet now, they will all die in appx 85 years, depending on location, that is almost 100 million people per year! But for some reason the whole world has decided to focus, to the exclusion of all others, on JUST ONE Vy-RUS! that only caused, depending on how you define "Caused", 2% of them! Why doesn't the other 98% of causes of death get any media attention? In the UK they stated recently the Vy-rus is 27th in the list of causes of death. Name one other issue where so much attention is applied to such a minor problem? Just to emphasise the issue, 96 million people died in the last two years of causes other than the Vy-rus which apparently caused 4 million deaths! Don't you think it is a little bit strange to devote such vast resources on one tiny part of the problem? In the UK there is a massive difference in dying OF as opposed to Dying WITH the Vy-rus! Have a look at this site: www.worldometers.info/world-population/ and see if you can get a grip on the size of the numbers involved. And to all those who say one life lost is too many, WHY DOESN'T THAT APPLY TO THE OVER 2000 PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIED DUE TO THE vak scene?
@kiwi_welltraveled4375
@kiwi_welltraveled4375 3 жыл бұрын
@@rogerblackwood8815 Wow, Roger, that's a lot to take on board. So let me see if I've got this correct... Your anti-vacc's because the world population is too high. So your using the virus as a population control? Then there's the seperate issue of resources been directed at the virus when more people die from other causes. The problem is that Covid-19 would have surpassed the other leading causes of death had it been left unchecked. Then you go on some unhinged wild "Tucker" conspiracy rant that makes no sense unless your living under a mushroom in a social media fantasy world. It's not too late, you can save yourself and more importantly, those around you if you just take the vaccine. If not then I guess your right, the population is to high and we'll just let Darwinism play out...... I wish you and yours all the best, I feel your going to need it!
