Catapult Hunting/Pest Control Pigeon Crow and Rabbit

Farm yard pest control with the slingshot. A local dairy farmer
Has a feral pigeon problem so he was more than happy for me and a friend of mine to blast some out of his sheds and crows around the area. I'm shooting my gzk mini hammer with 0.62mm thick gzk bands cut at 23mm to 17mm shooting 8mm steel. Thank God the UK pigeon ban doesn't affect northern Ireland

Nice video. For all those who ask, yes, this takes lots of practice. I have shot a few thousand 6mm ball bearings. All started in lockdown whilst walking the dog. I now buy bags of 9mm clay balls. 200 to a bag. I am just starting to hit about 80% of what I aim at, at 20-25 yards.( I like shooting leaves.) The catapult is good fun. I do not shoot to kill anymore, but you get the same whack with the clay balls as you do with a pellet. They really piss off Magpies.

In my country (El Salvador) in the 1980's teenagers would shoot down birds in mid-fight 100-ft high with slingshots. Of course the slingshots were totally different than this one in the video. I can't believe you actually aim for the head and hit them on the head. Impressive accuracy.

Is rabbits a nuisance in your country? Are they a season on rabbits or do you shoot them any time of the year. Here in the U S we have a rabbit season. Coyotes have just about wiped small game out where I live. It just seems funny that you shoot rabbits out of your vehicle window. By the way your one helluva shot with a slingshot. Hi Chris. Amazing accuracy I must say, I have been watching your videos on hunting and living off the land. Just a brief background of myself. My name is Craig Beale and I've been hunting in my younger days and living off the land about thirty six years ago. But I used a different rubber that was used in the railways back then. Very powerful stuff, however these bands are very different. May I ask what is the best thickness band for hunting and what will be the best range in meters to actually knock out a bird like partridges with the recommended band that you would advise.
