Hey man, when I’m aiming from 30 feet away I have to aim about 6 inches below my target to hit it…is that normal? Or am I aiming wrong?

Question for you Chris...........Of what importance is the frame when I see frameless shooters hitting a lighter at 100+ feet? I get the hazard to the hand, but isn't this something we should be striving for? I get the fact you might sell less products......... I'm not trying to be 'that guy' as I've learned so much from you in my short 3 week career, but the less we carry the better no?
@minkorrh5 күн бұрын
If anyone has any doubt, it's all about the skill, and so much less about the frame. Hence the 'cutting one off a tree' and being just as accurate. Buy a decent looking frame that's strong. Don't buy another until you're accurate with the first as it won't make you any better.....quite the opposite.

The fact that you mentioned accents as a way to identify the area that someone is from is amazing. Don't let the recent Irish gov't pollute that with non-Irish. Sorry, I know this is neither the time or place, but Irish are being replaced, and I'm not even Irish, I'm English. Let that one sink in. Also, the fact that you are consistently hitting 'lower and left' (or wherever you hit consistently) is actually a GREAT thing, as all it takes is a minor adjustment to put you on the mark. It';s the learning curve of what works and applying that 100% of the time.

I've been trying to practice but i'm almost kind of terrified of the anchor point. Because what if the band breaks and it snaps you in the face

I used to shoot competitively as a kid (.22), and won a ton of high gun trophies and team awards. The emphasis on repetitive technique cannot be stressed enough. Once you determine what's making your shots accurate, do everything you can to repeat that. For me it was tilting my hand back to ensure that the slingshot frame was facing the target straight....meaning the outside face of the frame is parallel to your target. Once I figured this out I started landing shots way more consistently. The rest is just as important.......same anchor point EVERY time, and you will muscle memory it if you do it consistently and often enough. I also play guitar. Nothing is any different where that is concerned with playing very fast. Muscle memory. While preparing your shot, release your breath, don't hold it. I always aim my slingshot down, release my breath, and then raise it into position while drawing, and 99% of the time come UP to the shot as opposed to over it and DOWN to the shot. Every one will differ, but whatever works for you, make it consistent.

This shows how good that glove is. The shot that hit it was definitely more perpendicular than if you were wearing the glove to shoot darts, so the glove would easily deflect a shot at a shallower angle. Nice grouping though!

Congrats on the win! I've just got into the hobby after fooling around for years and not knowing anything. In only a week I can hit a 3" target at ~20 feet about 75% of the time, and it's due to your aiming tutorials. Thanks!!!!
