Great vid -- thanks for the inspiration on the box design for the trap -- I bought a 'Bridger 110' body-grip trap to use in the woods here, and made a 'sliding lid' design of a box, similar to the one you have there. Brilliant -- thanks for putting these videos out! Cheers from the USA!

Nice work i think the fenn traps is out lawed for stoat only in April not for raddits and squirrel. So you may get some more use out of them
@CattyShackHunter4 жыл бұрын
Barry Baker thank you Barry. I’ve read various things such as, how can you ensure that Stoats won’t be caught in them without outlawing this type of trap completely? It’ll be illegal to catch a Stoat in, therefore you can’t legally set the traps because you can’t guarantee not catching a Stoat. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens 👍

Don’t be hunting anything at all until you confident you can hit say a 50mm spinner a good 8/10 time’s from a hunting distance of realistically 15/20 meters and beyond. Not until your confident in yourself and your shot should you be hunting. However, catty shack (google it) has perfect stater kits on the website including slingshot, bands, ammo and more all in one cheap but very high quality package. Don’t let this take the fun from it I still get a buzz every time I hit a spinner let alone say a rabbit or squirrel. Anyway hope this helps and happy shooting.

Hi Wayne. I'm new to catapult shooting and will soon be buying an OTT catapult with 20-30mm 18mm thick Grade A Multiplex bands. I was just wondering If you could give me some advice on what would a good all rounder ammo. Mainly for target to start with and then moving on to some small game hunting when I get better after lots of practice. Thanks 👍

Mark Robbins you’re probably best off asking the person you’ll be buying the set up from mate. It will depend what bands they are.

@@CattyShackHunter would it have been the same outcome for the duck with 9.5 steel
@CattyShackHunter5 жыл бұрын
bill bob it would really all depend on the speed you’re able to get with your own set-up to be honest. Where I hit it, yes most likely it would, but an inch or two lower and into the neck, I’d say no.
@billbob71705 жыл бұрын
@@CattyShackHunter thx again pal would you say your waight lifting helps with your shooting as your set up is a bit on the heavy side for me might need to get the old dumbbells out lol
@CattyShackHunter5 жыл бұрын
bill bob haha! Yeah I would say it most likely does. I think where most people fail to be accurate with a heavy set up is grip strength on the pouch end, and not using a straight wrist shooting style.

Can't go wrong with those bmi's, Yanks use them in alsorts of ways we're not allowed, even sticking them out fish, I like the 116's, legal for rabbits here and they fold down nicely, although fenns if you set them but on the safety lay nice and flat in a game pocket or bag too

@@CattyShackHunter put the nerves up me first time I blindly put my hand into my pocket knowing I had two set mk6's in there but they can be knocked about a bit being held by the safety, I think you'd have to lean pretty hard to get them to open up enough to slip the catch, obviously I wouldn't recommend it especially as getting them off your fingers without help is not easy at all, the bmi's aren't bad to get off you alone though and don't hit as hard, wouldn't fancy it with the double spring ones though
