Let me know if you have any questions! I think its a fairly simple process, but that doesn't always translate on camera!

Not boring! Very helpful. I have made some crummy hangers so do appreciate having another version to try. I also enjoyed hearing the Eastern Phoebe calling in the background. Thanks, Stephen.

Thanks for your sharing. Pots and hangers for orchids are very much easy to buy and very cheap here. Some hangers differ for cattleya, phal, dendro, etc. Catasinae are very expensive with limited variant/choices here. Mostly from Bangkok.

Your Teacher We had some late season cool weather and I think it set my plants back. I’ve still got a few weeks before I’ll water most of my plants! I gave some of the really dehydrated ones a tiny bit of water in our nearly 100 degree days!

Hi Stephen, interesting video on home made wire hangers, doing it your way means also that I can make it 3 wires or 4 wires and choose the length that suits me best. Thanks Stephen.

My Catasetum collection has gone from 3 to 2. I have decided they don't suit my growing conditions so 2 is my magic number for Catasetums. Both my Cattleya amethystoglossas still have green root tips. Yay! Your hangers are good for more than hanging Catasetums. I can never find hangers the right length for my orchids so this is a very useful video. Thanks for sharing

Soooo I went from never having a Catasetinae to having 12 - thanks to covid lock downs. I have mo., clow. Ctsm. Some stuff from svo, and a very mature fdk after dark. I just wanted to shout out my appreciation. I have watched all your videos, some twice. I forgot to mention, I live in a very dry, arctic climate. Yep. These guys, other than a few Dendrobium, are my only “warmer” growers. My summers are cool 50-80 so this is all done inside (kingianum got booted and the ctsm live in their space. I would love any tips you would recommend for growing indoor, under lights or in a cooler climate. Thanks!

Hi Lisa, I would say they'll still want to get hot, bright, and wet conditions while inside! I've found spider mites are especially troublesome inside, but raising humidity and nuking the little arachnids is a must with your conditions! I think implementing very strong quarantine controls for new plants is probably a good idea too. Be sure to have your lights on a timer which is changed each month so you get a 14+ hour summer down to a 10 hour winter. Hopefully that covers most of it!

@@SVKLOrchids but somehow it feels like you take a little extra care of your orchids. By doing it your self I mean. And here in our tiny little country we can't get everything store-bought. Take care and keep on making videos 💐

Intresting idea, I always make four point hangers for my plants. I'll have to try this method - less holes to poke :) Unrelated question, do you have any watering tips for Galeandras coming out of dormancy?

Thanks for the hanger making lesson . This will be my first summer watering several plants in this category, do you recommend a particular method, some are near ready to be watered, some will start later. Trying to recreate the hanging area you created for your plants, have you set that up yet? Will be adding new plants from the upcoming Fred Clarke release in late June early July. :)
