Catastrophic Recurrence (EAS Scenario)

Synopsis: Category 5 Hurricanes, Quite Possibly the most destructive a tropical cyclone can get. Hurricane Andrew was an example of one of those Category 5 Hurricanes, and even more frightening, an example of a Category 5 Hurricane that made Landfall anywhere in the Atlantic.
However, What if, More than a quarter of a Century Later, a Hurricane with the exact intensity of Andrew, were to strike the Coast of Southeastern Florida, in the same exact locations that Andrew Struck all those years ago?
Creator’s Note - Scenario starts out at the 19th advisory, but makes note of the exact path and dates of formation/dissipation as well. I also chose the name Isaac due to Andrew being a retired name, as Andrew had caused catastrophic damage in it’s own Right. This Scenario also includes reevaluations of Hurricane Andrew, as it was Reevaluated to category 5 Status Ten years after it struck Florida, and was later determined to have made landfall as a Category 5 in Florida in February of 2005.

Interesting to note, due to the limitations of 1992 weather forecasting technology, nobody realized how likely Andrew was to intensify until it was just hours off the coast of SE Florida, and it wasn’t rated as a Category 5 until years later when they were able to re-evaluate actual wind speeds when it made landfall. The only positive outcome from that storm was a change in the residential construction codes to withstand hurricane force winds up to 150mph.

If I had to be honest, this was one of the best scenarios I have seen you made within the past year. Just from the hint I found in one of your previous videos, told me it had to do something with Hurricane Andrew and Florida. I had very high expectations for this video, and this scenario exceeded those expectations I had when I first clicked on this video. Remember that hurricane Irma was a Cat 5 until it hit Cuba, and the entire state was under a hurricane warning....they wouldn’t limit the warnings to southeast Florida as these storms shift direction and the area of hurricane force winds expand as they travel into the warmer water. The state is only about 200 miles across over the peninsula so its rare that a storm traveling west northwest wouldn’t impact any portion of the state with at least tropical storm force winds and flash flooding.

Erm...about that comment you made, report was released not too long ago. I've come to the realization that I was, disturbingly enough, correct about a Category 5 landfall. I was unaware of when it would occur though. Didn't strike me that it would occur two months after the release of this very scenario, though.

@@easalert88 , I wonder if I could email you about a scenario about a week of brutal weather, and weather related, disasters that are happening in a situation that is like a combination of the 1974, the 1999, the 2003, and the two 2013 tornado outbreaks, as well as a massive ice storm and blizzard that is in the northern part of the storm, and a hurricane that is more powerful than the most powerful hurricane ever and that it is twice the size of Typhoon Tip, and both of those systems meet. You should expect lots of blizzards, icing, tornadoes, sinkholes, landslides, rock slides, mudslides, flash floods, coastal floods, storm surges, inland floods, lake effect storms, snow squalls, riptides, dangerous ice floes, dangerous fires, red flag warnings, massive wildfires, urban fires, riots, disease outbreaks, nuclear power plant meltdowns, and, of course, a brutal hurricane merging with a system that made Superstorm Sandy look like a brief summer popcorn thunderstorm in comparison, among other weather disasters.

I realized something spooky about Hurricane Michael. It hit 40 years after the Original Halloween Film was released, and a Halloween Reboot was released in 2018, the same year as Hurricane Michael. So, coincidentally, Hurricane Michael struck the year that Michael Myers returned to the big screen after the Rob Zombie Remakes.

I was finishing Navy boot camp in the former RTC Orlando. My parents came down to see me and after dropping me off back at base, left as quick as they could. After Andrew hit, we helped survivors from Homestead AFB move into our barracks because all they had was gone. Seems like yesterday.

The crazy thing watching this now is something similar to this did happen a couple years ago with Ian being eerily identical to Charley, same path and intensity. However, as hurricanes go, Andrew and Charley were both fairly compact and fast moving while Ian was bigger and slow moving making it much worse. Imagine how bad it would be if Isaac, or whatever storm takes this path next, was bigger and slower moving than Andrew…

I should note that when a major storm is moving towards the coast, advisories come out at least every 3 hours, sometimes more. No need to change the video -- just noting that there traditionally aren't 6 hour gaps between advisories during landfalling storms.

Well actually a 4th cat 5 did hit Florida Hurricane Michael it was originally a cat 4 with 150 mph winds than they did a re survey and it was a a cat 5 with 160 mph winds

That's a scary feeling about a cat 5 hurricane heading your way but what if there's a Hurricane far far worser than a cat 5? known as a Hypercane? that forms in the Atlantic heading towards the united states? and what makes matters even worse it gots the very very warm waters of the gulf of mexico and the gulf coast in it's crosshairs? aka bulls eye? And speaking about hypercanes what category number of a hurricane is considered to be classified as a hypercane? That's if it's a such thing as hypercanes but if it is? Can they form in the Atlantic ocean or the water is too cold for hypercanes to form? or come true in the Atlantic Ocean?

According to Kerry Emanuel of MIT, in order for a hypercane to form the ocean temperature would have to reach 50°C. He says that it would “extend” in the upper stratosphere and have wind speeds of over 800kmh. After the research I have done, after this point it wouldn’t be labeled the same as a hurricane. Hypercane being like “category 6”, potentially. Hypercanes could form in any ocean as long as it’s very hot; however, the conditions to create such warm temperatures are very unlikely or will take many many years to happen. @@Hmmmiiiii It doesn't have to be a powerful hurricane for the name to get retired, it just needs to cause alot of death and/or destruction. Hurricane Stan in 2005 was only a category 1 but was retired because it was part of a broader weather system that killed over 1,600 people and resulted in over $3.9 billion US dollars in damage to Eastern Mexico and Central America.
