good to see you got some where dry to work, it should run much better when all done,, i did my turbo and cleened my intercooler it did make a difference,, if you get allisport intercooler be good up grade if can afford,, finaly got my xmember welded today, so mines getting there as well,, lol

Makes sense dude you are doing things in the order that it should be done. Best of luck with it man the tdi engines are pretty solid things and will take a fair bit of neglect before they completely stop. So running some oil through should be minimal damage

Removing the top pipe would of made the turbo over spin causing it to fail (no boost pipe no pressure for the waste gate to open letting exhaust gas to bypass the turbo) make sure to flash the oil to remove any fine pieces for metal and prime the new turbo with oil. Your old friend Logan (mikes son)
