3:30 the worst kind of tyres to inflate are those with split rims. They may be easy to change over with few tools but if the metal band fails while you’re inflating the tyre it can cut you in half. Normally they have to be filled in an inflation cage which contains any shrapnel if the tyre does explode.

the newer cranes i've worked with won't even allow the operator to overload it; and they have a handy light bar on the front that shows the guy signaling how much capacity the crane has left. green - yellow - red. obviously as the crane booms down and the load moves away from the center of gravity of the crane the capacity goes down; and obviously it's the crane operators job to actually deal with that.

I’ve dumped many trucks usually with metal or dross in them. @5:10 there should have been someone standing directly behind him at a safe distance to let him know the truck was leaning one way or the other and let him know to lower it when it starts leaning. We have these safety precautions in place for a reason!

Maybe it is the difference in countries but I have never seen a water tower being built like that. There are 2 new ones behind the hospital where I work. They built them both from the ground up. While on break we would sit and watch the construction. You could see the workers welding the huge metal pieces together. The only problem that occurred was after construction was done. While painting the towers the wind caught the spray paint and spread it around. Some employees' cars ended covered in light blue paint, windows included. Luckily I had managed to get a parking spot in front of the hospital, well away from the towers.

I dropped a 2,000 lb bag of starch once. The person who put the bag up that the starch goes in after its separated from the starch water from the potatoes and is dried, put the bag too far back on the pallet and when i had to change it out it was leaning too far back, i got it hooked up and off the scale drove it back and out safely and evsn though i went forward slowly to put it down ...it just splat and i had 2 thousand lbs of dry poofy starch to shovel lol my boss walked by and just giggled and handed me a shovel and said yep that'll be fun and walked off😂 longest 8 hours ever

Its crazy to me that way into the 21th century there's still cranes in use without weight and balance sensors
@boroblueyes2 ай бұрын
The cranes have those sensors. They are either ignored, bypassed or removed altogether.
@cbobwhite57682 ай бұрын
The crane and the water tower. Definitely operator error. Those cranes have a weight limit and they have a scale that tells them how much pressure is on it.

The truck in the first clip, I drive those for a living. We drive on hard rock so tyres get damaged and compromised very easily. We climb under, in and around the truck everyday for inspections so I’m very conscious of the fact that one of them could explode and kill me at any moment 🙂 In the summer when temperatures are upwards of 50 degrees they easily catch fire as well.
