Ah man Ceri and Kat we had an amazing day and I’m just itching to get back to the lakes to do another hike. Emma was amazing I can’t believe she battled in with a bad chest. Such a shame you and Dee did not do this route last week as you both would have got there but great effort of getting there today, especially with Emma being on the poorly side too. Now that you have done Catbells, you could go up the same way and do Maiden Moor and Hight Spy, which in comparison is so quiet but just as scenic and a real nice summit cairn on High Spy too. Me and my oldest son did take a dip in Derwentwater 18 months ago but it was on the hottest day of the year😁. I hope the market was still going strong when you get to Keswick, I always come back with a tray of chocolate shortbread and a tray of fruit flapjack from one of the stalls - has to be done! Cheers and well done to you both, Alan

Thanks Alan. We did miss Dee on Saturday. She was busy so couldn’t come. I was going to do the others after catbells on Saturday but poor em had done what she could considering how Ill she was. She offered to go down on her own and let me do it but there’s no way I would have left her to descend on her own in the condition she was in bless her. The fells will always be there for my return. Brilliant stuff Emz, we really enjoyed this one😊👍. Well done to you both for reaching the summit, was great to see after watching your attempt with Dee up the scramble route, these things always look easier looking down on them, and you also had that wind to contend with which we think always makes you feel more uneasy than you would have on a still day. Anyway one to be saved for another day now you feel more confident with it😊👍. Fantastic views from the summit. Love your positive attitude and love for being outdoors🤩👊👍. Thanks for taking us along, take care, Shell and Pete😊👊👍

What a difference a day makes! Just one week of hours! 🎶 well when you attempted it with the lovely Dee by the easy route you had some awful conditions, it was wet and it was windy and of course you had the dog to worry about. Coming back on a dry, great condition day you super bossed it. What a lovely hike, although i dont envy anyone scrambling south down that descent 😱. Great pub grub and Castlerigg has been on our to do list for almost twenty years, glad you sneaked that in too. Great vidxx

@@emz_adventure yeah its one we’ve done a few times, although on our first attempt we did climb from the South and come down the scramble to the North on our bottoms! Ive done it in reverse on our other visits but fortunately always had great weather for the scrambles. We’ll definitely be back. Its covered on our channel too but i did see an interesting vid by Tea in Valhalla a short while ago, they did Catbells and looped in a couple of other Wainwrights on the same day. Do fancy that at one point 👍

I can highly recommend it. And helvellyn, skiddaw and blencathra if you're in that area. The stone cirlce is stunning. We have a few up here where I live. Duddo is spectacular especially during winter or summer solstice 🩷. I'm always hunting for things like that especially cup and ring marks. Loving your channel, working my way through it with joy 😊

@@emz_adventure I've done helvellyn via Striding Edge although I'd love to do it again sometime. So many mountains up there I'd like to conquer, I'll be paying a few visits this year car camping I'm sure. I'll have to investigate these circles too and see if I can incorporate them into my walks. I have scafell pike in mind again but the corridor route this time from seathwaite with a few other tops added for good measure if the legs can handle it! Great video! The filming and editing was very good and the narration was perfect! Loved your pics they were so good and looked like fun. The footage was amazing those views were incredible!! I am also scared of heights and a few of our videos are similar I was so proud of myself on a few hikes this year. The one we did at Smith rock was one I skipped in 2021 and I was so proud I made myself do it for the video in 2022 so I really understand! Great job! Best wishes in 2023 for more adventures and growth in your channel can't wait to see what's next!

Good evening to you both. You certainly have a great channel I’m really looking forward to watching your adventures over the next few days. Wow thanks so much for your great comments. And for watching. I really do appreciate it. There’s nothing worse is there then the heights getting to us. I never used to be like that . As a youngster my brothers and I used to jump from the cliff tops into the sea without a care in the world . Age I think has made me fear the exposure that comes sometimes with scrambles. Thanks again and have an amazing Christmas and new year 💗🥾
