One thing it doesn’t have: Salvation. Jesus offers salvation for anyone. It’s not on our part or doing. It’s a free gift. And following Jesus is worth so much more than anything money can buy. No pun intended. We can be thankful and grateful as we should be. But in the end, it’s the choices we make that determine where we’re going. Thankfully we have that choice. Amen! You are spot on about money. Talking about blow-holes, I remember my very first time learning about fishing plastic worms. I had one rigged up and walked around a farm pond until I came across a weed mat. And it had a couple blow-holes in the mat. I carefully dropped that plastic worm into one of the holes. Jigged it once and saw my line jump as a bass sucked it in. Set the hook and caught that bass. It was one of those text book worm fishing experiences. Very fun to be successful on my first try! GOOD MORNING to YOU JIMMY & OUR CHRIS !!! I think as we were younger we just had to work more hours to make it to each pay day !!! We didn't have what we have today in OUR GOLDEN Years of life !!! We worked hard plus we saved it also "A penny earned is a Penny saved " as my Father said to me one time !!! You find a penny you pick it up to be saved !!! We did things that didn't cost us much in those days !!! Going to church was 1 of them it was fellowship with others just like ourselves but not speaking of any thing else other than the good LORD JESUS CHRIST !!! To have that in our lives with others going the same way we were going met a lot to us in those days !!! Women Folk had Babies to talk about recipes also with GOD to lead the way for them !!! Men Folk were talking about jobs working on cars if they had one or being quiet in the House of the LORD JESUS CHRIST other than to sing the PRAISES to the Father OUR GOD !!! They were just happy for being in one spot to be quiet for awhile !!!STILL PRAYING FOR YOU ALL DOWN SOUTH !!!

Thankyou Jimmy, I really needed to be reminded of this. I just got off the phone with my daughter and I was explaining to her how much I hated money. I never had wealth but I've always had a job or the promise of one. I finally landed a pretty good one and the price on everything went through the roof. It was supposed to get easier and the worst part is. If I were still at my old job. I would be homeless. I know I have a lot to be grateful for. I'm just not getting the benefits of my advancement because of the evil motivation of others.

Putting God first before all things and people. Do not make money your idol. God first, then your spouse (if you are married), then your kids, then your friends and other family. You and your job/hobbies come last. The most important thing that you can give your family is you. It is the same thing with God, put Him first and He will bless you, very, very simple. We can very easily make our hobbies and such idols, we can put a spouse first ahead of God, or a child. Jesus knew that the young rich man loved his wealth too much to commit to Him. It was very sad for the man. It always comes down to the heart thing, where our heart truly lies, what our real motives are, even when we can't see them, He can and does. It is not the money but the love of it putting it first in our lives, before God. If you can't trust God with your money, who can you trust? Jesus tells us to trust Him and He means in everything. So Shine on Brother, for He created this word wealth, He created the gold and jewels in the first place.

Y’all do have a major faultline up there and could have a really big one someday. Had a friend from Vermont here a couple days this week. They are having massive flooding where he lives in Vermont. Hello Jimmy how are you Jimmy thank you so very very much for getting back to me I greatly appreciate that and Jimmy no we're not getting really any rain here I know up in the far north in like Vermont and New Hampshire and stuff if you get a lot of rain boy they've been getting like belted and that's that's horrible I hope your friend is okay and everyone is doing well up there even with a lot of rain and flooding we haven't really received anything down here like that Jim last couple of months we were around maybe 4 in for 2 months which is below normal for both months but like okay for July my total was 3.41 in that's what I have for July so far for August we are at 0.20 but I will see what it brings we're supposed to get some storms and Rain everything over the weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday I'll definitely let you know though Jim again I hope your friend is making out okay and they'll be all right up there and also Jimmy earthquakes holy moly I remember when we felt and it shook pretty well and actually the vehicle I was in actually I was at a stoplight and Shook Me and the vehicle and the traffic light and everything else around me LOL and that was way back Jim I want to say that was around 2012 I believe without looking in my records I believe it was I was on a Wednesday and it was hot during the summer and we had stopped at a light I could I couldn't believe it Jimmy the measurement for the area was 5.8 on the Richter scale supposably there was one and I believe either it was either New York or Pennsylvania one of the two now North Jersey I'm sorry North Jersey was that was around 4.2 or 4.3 on the Richter Scale that's another another one a lot of people claim they found it I did not feel nothing that day whatsoever that happened about 9:20 in the morning and that was about maybe I don't know 4 or 5 months ago Jim I was just curious cuz West Texas they had a couple of really good ones there are 5.6 I believe and I didn't know if you guys I know West Texas is pretty far from where you're at but I didn't know if you could feel some of the Aftershock in that area or not yes Oklahoma's had quite a few and every day there's measurements of activity between Texas and Oklahoma and Arkansas and some of the other states on that major fault line in that area yes we do Jim we have a major fault line in this area holy moly let's not hope for anything bad let's pray to the Lord ask for his help and protection and regards to that but thank you Jimmy again I always look forward to our conversation greatly appreciate it and hope you're having a good start of the week we're already at Thursday now we're going to be walking into Friday holy moly Jim give Chris a big hug for me and tell her I said hello and watch your mail I have something coming to you and for you and Chris my two favorites and and I appreciate you keeping an eye out Jimmy okay Jim definitely talk to you soon and stay in touch when you can God bless you Jenny God bless Chris and the family I sure do miss y'all I sure do love y'all

i dont believe its a sin at to push yourself above and beyond because you want to be successful and productive. most of my days start before daylight and dont end till midnight. i make a good living but im not ritch. i do think its a sin when you worship wealth to the point you neglect everything else. that that could be called gluttony which is one of the 7 deadly sins.
