Foreign immigrants implement tradition where it may succeed in America. It's how this nation was founded! I know this from my own Polish immigrant descendants who supported their spouses in the same loving, steadfast manner. Too often we go after the beautiful woman whom we want to marry. In the Bible, God brought Eve to Adam. Adam did not go looking for anything else. He waited, until God brought him his bride. And so it is today. WAIT ON THE LORD!

I use a similar type rig for live mullet except from the beach I use a wire sinker because of the current. I use two swivels, one with a short piece of line for the sinker and and main line goes through that swivel so it can slide, then I attach another swivel of the same size to the end of main line to stop the sinker from going to the hook. I then use a thicker line for a leader and I catch big fish this way. I cast the mallet in and then I give the some slack so that the mallet has some freedom to swim around which attracts the predator fish

Lemon pepper, (cayenne, gojuchang or chipotle) garlic powder, self rising flour, a couple splashes of fish sauce or soy. Mix it all up. Then slowly add beer (any beer will do I like mine w/ any IPA. ) to a wet yet not too thin not too thick batter. Dip it in and make sure whole piece is battered. And drop it into some hot oil. I usually do one piece at a time.

That is my goto rig on frozen or cut bait! You can catch all sorts of species with that especially sharks. Oh and catfish is super delicious...the only thing is as soon as you catch them is too bleed them off...they have a funky bloodline and tastes very fishy. But man they taste awesome...I guarantee you'll want to keep them the next time you do that. The best advice to bleed them is to cut off its tail and then put them in saltwater ice. You'll thank me later. What a shame you let that big one go.

A good catfish recipe is to filet the fish, skin or not, then mix sour cream, dried onion powder, garlic powder, mix into sour cream, (like a French onion dip), coat the filets, then roll that into something crunchy, I used to use corn flakes, but I no longer eat GMO grains, and use coconut bread crumbs that are seasoned with spices of your choice, roll the coated filets in the crunchy's, and bake @ 350° Fahrenheit per thickness of filets, coat crunchy's with melted butter before baking!!!

I didn't realize you could catch blue cats from the beach. We catch them in the tidal section of rivers. Yours were some nice eater sized blues. We don't start calling them big until they're over the 30 pound mark. Our boat record is over 70. Blues are excellent table fare. Make sure to bleed them out and remove the red meat from the fillets.
@fishingwithme95454 жыл бұрын
I don't know if you had a mono leader tied on or not so may I suggest that. I hate most of the plastic sinker slides because once you start throw 5+oz they break off a better option is a size 2 spro swivel with a duo lock snap. I think the 1 run off you missed was because your bait was wrapped around your running line. 2 things to fix that 1 tie a shorter leader I have tied as short as 3in. 2 make sure tour sinker is heavier than your bait. If the bait is heavier it'll act like a parachute and separate from your sinker. May I recommend catfish po boys.

Been using that way of fishing for years and years. It don't matter the length of your hook leader it doesn't tangle when u cast. That red thing your talking about is called a slider swivel. That T on slider swivel is made for your hook. You expose your hook with the bait and hook your hook into the T then cast. Half way through your cast the hook will release. No helicopter no line twist and u don't loose your bait.
