I fish fresh water but will be moving to the northern pacific coast in washington. Ive noticed you leave hooks exposed a lot. Is that a salt water thing? The only time I expose a hook is when fishing a wacky worm. I makes sense to me that a hook visual to me may appear unnatural to a fish. Is that not true for the salt water fish?

More segments, more likely to break. Any pole that might hook onto monstrous fish or maybe a dolphin should have as few segments as possible. The long the pole, the more important it is to have fewer pieces.
