Yes please make a video of how you did it. I have one just mounted on the spare battery connection. I’d like to see how you did all of them.

That should prove interesting if you do create a complete system that covers all three ventilation hoses. Now how to go about measuring the amount of oil captured could be rather difficult, while weighing the filters before and after would show both water and oil captured. Draining them I assume would only show a portion of what they contain as the filter media would soak up a lot of oil I would tend to think, however they could be cut open and that might tell some of the story. Now as per actually seeing what these L8T engines are building up on their intake valves, I wonder if anyone has dug into them yet with a higher mileage engine to capture video or photo of what is there and relative to other GDI engines on the market.

How much and what they accumulate depends on a lot of different factors. Time of year, humidity, engine loads, oil manufacturers all play a part. Mine always pulls a lot of moisture out along with the oil with the type of filter that I use

@@adventureandrepeat Yes as you say the humidity would play such a huge roll in what water ends up in the catch can ( or filter in this case ), short runs in cool but very humid weather would be shocking for sure ... relative to driving across Death Valley in the middle of summer !. My concern for any style of catch can is cold winter weather, I can see things going sideways pretty quick with a plugged off PCV system in the weather I unfortunately have to deal with in the winter in northern Alberta, however spring through fall would be just fine.

I've had breathers on old engines ice up on me before and cause oil leaks. Always a fun time

Do you have a link to the air filter extension hose to the throttle body?
