In this episode I fish for the highly prized Barramundi. I cast net live prawns (shrimp) for bait before finding a likely looking fishing spot. I thoroughly enjoy this easy way to catch lots of fish. I hope you enjoy the adventure! #returnoutdoors #barramundifishing

The master at his art again. Thanks for bringing us along again. Who would think one snag could hold so many fish. You must have an amazing knowledge of how fish move and sit. Isn't winter suppose to be the slow time for Barra? The really seem top be thick in your area or you just know where to look. Plenty of people seem to chase them but few have the success you do.

It is certainly amazing how many fish will hold on a small structure. Thanks heaps for your kind comment! It is my pleasure to share these trips with you!👍

Those fillets look a lot like our striped bass here in New England.

Very interesting to hear the fillets of the striped bass are similar looking to barramundi. I did a quick search on the striped bass and it appears it is quite versatile in the way it can be prepared for eating just like barramundi. Thanks for your comment!👍

Really enjoy ur vids mate as used to live fish an hunt most of my life up the Cape. Pls take this as absolutely positive feedback but I feel u need to add more commentary to ur vids as the footage is great with awesome content and camera angles etc but it would more engaging for the viewer I feel ( only my opinion ah?) if u did stuff like explain ur positioning of the boat so too drift ur bait into the snag, the rig u use an why u use it in comparison to say a running ball sinker, how u set up the live bait tank in ur tinny ? A rundown on the fish u catch (size limits/eating quality etc) These things might b obvious to lots of us but maybe not to some other Aussies an particularly international viewers who might not have ever seen a barra close up?? Anything extra u add to engage ur viewers will definitely bump up ur YT view hrs and hopefully that leads to like/shares and them taking the time to comment which of course feeds the algorithm? Anyway mate just my thoughts so stay safe budd🤙

Another great video mate. Pity you didn't get more prawns for bait as I'm sure you're great bite session would have continued. Prawns are definitely the bait of choice for barra in the winter months up here in NQ.

Hi there. I'm up north of Australia in PNG and trying to learn about fishing barra. I'm from Canada so this is all new! The locals net lots of the freshwater prawns, I think you call them Cherabins, would those be a good barra bait? I haven't seen much of mullet or anything, definetely not fresh and well alive. Cheers.

The wings are definitely great eating! I usually only take them from a bigger fish. They won’t go to waste as I will use these frames for crab bait. Thanks heaps for taking the time to comment!👍

Nice work mate. Do you mind if I ask what hook your using for your prawns/mullet? I'm using Gamakatsu livebait hooks at the moment and they seem good
@returnoutdoors2210
@returnoutdoors2210 10 ай бұрын
I usually use a 4/0 or 5/0 depending on the size of the bait. I rarely fish big baits so this size hook suits my style of fishing! Thanks for your question!👍
