So, have you gone and caught any? I've been meaning to go too, but I don't know if I have the confidence lol 😅😂
@machinegun3332 ай бұрын
@@sharuan just go to the fishing shop, ask the guy for a beginner set up, he'll set it all up for you and give you some tips if you ask nicely I'm sure. Go to almost any body of water (I'm sure you know a couple) and start fishing. You'll learn rapidly whilst you're doing it, just get out there and start, don't over-think it :)

I haven't been fishing in quite a few years due to work and family, but now that everything has calmed down, I've binged your videos again, never gets old, and has inspired me setting up a weekend fishing trip I have next weekend. Definitely getting some gear from you, support what you do, thank you for getting me back to the waters!

Oddly enough I began fishing after watching this channel. The first fish I ever caught was a trigger... a lot bigger than the one Matt's caught surprisingly, it was a ton of fun and something I will never forget.

You don't need to take the skin off , here on the east coast we have a dish called fish on the half shell were you cook your fish with the skin on and once it's finished the meat is so flaky you eat it right out of the shell, cook it on a grill and you can add what ever spices while it cooks, you should try it, Larry

Just don't do that with snook. That's why it's nicknamed soap fish.
@larrysowada99052 жыл бұрын
@@gregkirchner1108 well where I fish there's no snook to far south
@williammadray78182 жыл бұрын
Yeah you're right about that grilling method. The only thing I've found is the filet has a much more delicate flavor, it seems that the skin and the bones lended a more earthy fishy flavor and the fillet is much more delicate. Especially if you bleed the fish by cutting under its gills.

I'm going to give you a suggestion go get two brillo pads they're 12 in by 8 in and wire them to the bottom of your shoe so when you're on a rocks and it's all wet like you're right now at the cities you don't slip it'll be like putting sandpaper on your feet or you can use a small piece of carpet tied to the bottom of your shoes and you'll have grippers you won't sleep on this rocks

Yo bro. Try and work that 30g jig a little more. Let it drop and retreive. Drop and retreive with little movement of the rod tip to get them to react. I know its harder in those shallower spots but it will be more effective for you to work just a little more hahaha. Other than that, badass content and that area looks sick to fish. Been watching your videos since the beginning hahah.
