If you use fluorocarbon I recommend putting the spool(just the spool) in warm/hot water for about 10 minutes to give the line some new “memory”. Monofilament is great for using bait with a fluorocarbon leader. Mono doesn’t have a sink rate like fluorocarbon does so you’re less likely to have snags.

Have you ever tried the bubblegum pink powebait trout worm it’s my go to if spoons or panther martins aren’t working?

Also a snap swivel helps a lot

in honestly all you need is a gan craft claw 70s (2” jerkbait in general) or soft plastics of 2” and 1/32-1/16oz jighead #6 would be preferred. just need to work it incredibly fast and you’ll get hit everytime with river or stream trouts.
