I eat them. The recommendation is one meal per week. I don't get how they can be more contaminated than yellow perch. They eat the same things. live in the same water, and grow as fast or faster. Generally, faster growing fish have less contamination. Remove as much fat, the red/dark part, as you can (most contaminants are in the fat) and use the buttermilk soak mentioned above. Both steps improve the flavor.

Capsaicin, which is the chemical compound that contains fiery heat, is actually concentrated in the inner white pith or rib of the chile pepper. While the seeds may be coated with some of the capsaicin since they're in contact with the rib, they themselves don't actually contain any heat. This is a good reminder that if you want to take some of the heat out of the pepper, be sure to cut away and remove the pith and rib in addition to the seeds! just for your info. Bob

I have always made fish tacos by cutting the fillets in lengths of about five inches and width of about two inches. Then I coat them in flour then in egg wash then into the breading (with seasoning) and then deep frying the fish (of your choice) . Then when they are golden brown, I put them into lightly heated corn tortillas with shredded cabbage, a cream sauce made of "sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, lime juice, a pinch of dill weed, a pinch of oregano and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt and pepper. You can also add a very finely whipped avocado to your liking. Give that a try next time you make fish tacos and I promise, you will not be disappointed. Thanks for the video and thumbs up. God Bless

We have no limit on white bass here is Ontario. I can go out and literaly catch 500 or more a day and they are around two to three pounds each. When you cast a lure there will be ten trying to get your lure. Its not uncommon to catch two white bass on a double hooked crank bait. Hey great video. Cheers from ontario.
