I know about being under gunned with black grouper when I fished from shore in the Keys... I lost so many X-Raps fishing for snook and had grouper hammer my lure when I got over the rocks next to shore... nothing I could do except hold on and hope

Man I wish there were grouper and snapper in the Chesapeake Bay. I really miss a few species from Florida. Snook of course, jacks, grouper and snapper are top of the list.

What took u up there? I lived in marlyand for years. Live in bama now. We caught a bunch or stripers in the Chesapeake. Hit the bay Bridge in VA early spring for some nice flounder

@@robdishjr4912 it was a long trip to get here. I grew up in Florida, moved to Costa Rica in my 30s and stayed 9 years. Then my family needed me so I went to the foothills of NC for 5 miserable years. I missed the saltwater and I like to smoke weed, and I can do both here. It's the warmest place with both, and not too far from my family in NC. So here I am in Hampton and I like it. I've been catching flounder, trout and redfish, and I hope to figure out the stripers soon.

@comfortablynumb9342 that's what's up man. Glad to hear your happy there. Yea around where I lived they called them rockfish and got super offended if u mention a striper or stripe bass haha. But man when they get running u can really smoke em. Iv caught them on everything from peeler crabs to live spot to blood worms. Plain white bucktail jigs worked well for me too. No trailer. Straight bucktail. My dad's uncles would tell me stories of how they'd run out of bait and cut the tops off their beer cans and work it like a topwater and they would still smack it. They are a blast
