Good stuff and a great presentation. We don't see the same huge concentrations of white shrimp here along the West Coast of Florida that you do there, but the "Pac-Man Pattern" is always in play and especially so when our forage baits are similarly more scarce in concentration. Also, while it can be fun to sit on a school and catch a fish each cast, our Trout limits are much smaller. In fact for my zone it's a bag limit of 3 Trout, so I want 3 @ 17-19". If I identify a school of 12-15" Trout, I will move to the periphery of that school and "Pac-Man" my way to the next shallower contour in the general direction of any shoreline, shoal or bar and alternate between a deep and shallow presentation. If it's a colder water pattern, I'll also try moving from the edge of the school to the next prominent deeper depth contour. Usually you will get 3-5 choice Trout within short order and usually you are moving away from any crowds that are hooked on the simplicity of school fishing.
