I was at the Holy Donut! I can't believe I was at one of your recommendations before I saw it on a video. Yum!. Judging by the flowers blooming, I don't think our visits were too far apart. I didn't see too much more of Portland, my dog is not great at city touring or waiting in the van. But it is super cute and I'd go back. (P.S. I was at Grom in Jacksonville the other week. Twice! Thanks for that tasty review.)

I think the drive to Maine would be worth it just for those donuts or the strawberry rhubarb bread pudding! 💞💞 Can you tell I'm a dessert girl?!? 🤣 I met Troy while we were working at the Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal Kingdom and one of his jobs was to cook the lobster. 👍 Thanks for sharing. -Aimee

Were they the exact lobsters you guys caught?
@NewstateNomads2 жыл бұрын
That's very hard to say, but a great question. They always carry lobsters (caught on a prior trip) in the onboard tank in case the demand to buy outstrips what was caught during the trip. Since they're all mixed together, and tagged the same, it's a good shot but not guaranteed. Thanks for watching! 👍 -Howard

We are severely short of help that can afford to live in Maine now .. bring your patience.. those working are doing their best.. restaurants many only open 3 days ... Due to staff
@NewstateNomads2 жыл бұрын
It's a great point, thanks for bringing that up. We all need to remember our patience, particularly in areas with limited tourist seasons who are really struggling with staffing and other challenges. The best way to help is to patronize, be patient, thank the staff and tip when possible. 👍 -Howard

Tourism industry is destroying Maine and there’s thankfully an effort to move away the state’s dependence on it finally.

I'm sorry, but I find your presentation very annoying. You seem to flash every scene for less than a second, giving me no way to actually look at anything you're showing me unless I pause the video, and I'm not about to pause the video for every scene. Your video scenes are indeed high quality. Can't you give your viewers the benefit of a bit more time to actually be able to enjoy what you're showing them rather than just blowing through it?
@NewstateNomads2 жыл бұрын
Dotter, thanks for watching and we appreciate your feedback. We do try to keep the pace of our videos fast as we share the places we explore. Where possible, we put location names on screen and also list specific places in the description. I hope you'll continue on the journey with us, and again thanks for watching. - Howard
