Hey mate. Epic stuff. One thing I’ve learned with Jew and other big fish is if you want them to survive after a long fight, the key is to actually revive them before you take them out of the water and measure and photograph them etc. a fisheries biologist described it to me by saying imagine sprinting with a weight around your neck for 15mins and then being dunked under water just as you finish. It doesn’t always work but it’s worth a try on those massive fish. just my 2cents. Very cool session though! Well done!

Glad u enjoyed the video mate. I have the area i want to fish already pre planned before i leave in the morning, due to tide or wind. Then when i get there i always try to fish first light regardless of what i see on the sounder. I just enjoy that part of the morning so i relax an enjoy. Then if i dont mark bait or fish i wont move too far but il go to a similar area ie rockwall or eddy nearby. Once ive tried similar structures in an area an its still dead il move on. Anywhere i find alot of baitfish regardless of if im marking jewies or not il fish it for at least half hour an just keep watching the sounder to see if any decent fish come by. If that fails il change areas completely an start over. Doesnt always work sometimes fish just aren't hungry. This particular trip i went there to do drone footage, once i had done that i seen alot of bait on the sounder an lucky enough not long into casting maybe 10mins i had the first on board. You and most your viewers probably know this to help revive fish.. Its a good idea if you can is to use your electric motor or Petrol to go forward at a few Knots while keeping the fish upright under the water to let the water flow through its gills. It helps revive the fish and swim off better. Doesnt work on Barotrauma fish though as its a swim bladder issue.
