Catching an 11lb Rufus Woods Rainbow, then catching a bigger one!

Those are some of the biggest trout I’ve seen! I remember as a kid, watching Al Lindner’s fishing shows. I liked how he would explain his technique and what lures and tackle he would use to catch his fish with.

I hate to ask but I was wondering what lure that was, or if was shrimp or prawns or something. Super nice fish! I’ve had about 10 bad trips, I used to catch all the big ones, but now just little ones.

Ive been fishing there for a long time, and all I use are soft plastics with no salt and no scent. Presentation is important, especially as more and more people go fish there.

Too bad they don't realese those big ones anymore, the tribe said they will only realese 1-3 pounds going forward - not driving there 5 hours for rhose little ones

Well, all of our favorite rock hounding spots are covered in snow this time of year, and during the spring and summer we either rock hound or fish walleye, so by default winter is when we fish for rainbows. Not really sure it’s better, it’s just when we can make the trips! Thanks for asking and watching!
