Think that was a Teraglin and not a Jewfish because of the yellow mouth Jewfish have a white mouth.

That's a very good point, I did a quick google search and I think you're spot on. There were a few photos online of Starlo, Chris and the like with big fish that had yellow mouths they were calling mulloway. But after reading through the DPI "Information Paper", specifically regarding distinguishing between juvenile teraglin and mulloway I have to agree. My mate will be devastated.

Definitely looks like a convex tail, I wouldn't rely on the yellow mouth thing though.

​@3FinFishing Teraglin are more of a prize imo. Dad and I caught 6 one time in 40 years fishing. It was super early morning on an inshore reef.
