There is nothing like catching big fish from a kayak. When you go to Boone lake, there is always a chance at a BIG FISH.

Awesome video loved seeing that trout come back for the shiner! Great advice at the end you are right sometimes our pride gets in the way of apologizing for mistakes we make. Talking things out whether it be with your wife, girlfriend and your kids is a must to maintain a solid foundation for our relationships! Keep up the good work. Enjoyed your video and advice!!!

Nice day fishing. I liked how you didn't give up on that trout and let him come back, nice landing. I absolutely agree with you in taking responsibility. that is one of the biggest issues with the youngins, always deflecting. Be responsible! own it, end it. I even own it for my woman. "It is my fault we are late....", etc.

Yeah, taking a responsibility and owning your actions is huge.

Love the kayak videos. I keep saying I need to make a trip to Boone Lake and have yet to do it. Kids keep me busy! You going to do any videos at Watauga this year? Get some of them Smallmouth! Good word at the end of the video 👍

Just found your YT channel. Love to see local areas get fished. I noticed you fly fish. I'm going to try float and fly with a spinner. Have you ever tried this technique? Thanks for the great videos!

Hey Michael! Great video! Do you think it would be difficult to fish from a drift boat on Boone lake? Could I stay around the edges and do fine looking for trout?
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher 7 ай бұрын
Yes, it’s definitely possible. It would help to have an outboard or troll motor to cover Water. The areas I’m Fishing in are not close to a boat ramp that is usable this time of year. I’ll be filming a video tomorrow where we will be fishing from a drift boat on Boone Lake.

Dude I live here in Bristol and this is my home lake.I ran across your video and I was wondering if my son and I could come and hang out one day on the lake with you?.We've got kayaks and everything and he absolutely loves fishing and we're fixing to head out on the rivers and lakes for the year and was wondering if we could tag along with you.If your wondering, yes we do have our own gear.I just think my son would love the experience.He is wanting to get into the fishing club next school year for his freshman year of high school.Maybe you and I can discuss that more someday.Thank you for the videos!!.

Hey Chris , thanks for watching the videos. I’m glad your son is interested in Fishing. That’s awesome. At this point, I fish alone or with guides. Unfortunately, I’m very limited on the amount of time I can get out. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will do my best to answer them for you. Tight lines.

I just caught my biggest brown ever near the Boone dam. 21"... I released it. You mentioned that the winter bite is best for them... are they just deeper in the summer or do they leave the area?
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher

What time of day would you recommend this time of year? Dying to get the kayak out.

The earlier the better in my opinion. Basically from sunrise till about 11 am is a good time to be there.
