Catching BIG Flounder! Fishing Big Lake Louisiana

In this video, my wife and I got to spend the weekend fishing on Lake Calcasieu (Big Lake) in Hackberry Louisiana! Saltwater fishing is always fun and rewarding if you can catch some keepers! Fishing from the bank can be pretty challenging though. Luckily we had a good spot at the end of a canal to fish. The lure of the trip was the Gulp swimming mullet 4" in chartreuse or red. Big flounder were hammering the gulp lures! All we did was rig the gulp on a jig head and hop or drag it slowly across the bottom. The weather was a little rough so we had to adjust a bit. It was extremely windy and the water was very high from a lot of rain earlier in the week. The water was also very dirty, so colors that stand out in the water tend to work better in my opinion. No catch and cook in this one, but you better believe I will be cooking these fish up when I get home! Be sure you subscribe to the channel for more fishing tips and Louisiana fishing action! We would love to be in that area. We rent a cabin in that area every year we wish we could that camp. No boat necessary!
