Catching Big Rainbow Trout below Wolf Creek Dam!

In this video you’ll find below Wolf Creek Dam fish the Hatchery Creek during the trout spawn. There’s nothing better than sight fishing a big trout. That eat can happen right then or not for a couple hours. I landed several 5+ pound fish in this video and my biggest being a little over 6lbs but with that said I hope you enjoy!!!

Headed down to Kendall to camp at the end of the month. Been trout fishing down there for 15 yrs or so but with spinning tackle only. This will be my first trip fly fishing. Can you give me a brief rundown of how you're rigged?

Pretty much just free lining with a straight 4x tippet with a white wooley bugger all I have ever thrown it works pretty good. But here lately it’s been hard to find a bigger bite

That’s alright man it’s kind already a community hole there’s a lot of people that fish there it’s just kind of hit and miss. Hatchery Creek below wolf creek dam. There’s a little road called power plant road below the dam. Follow it down to the gates at the beginning of the parking lot and and it’ll take you right there! There’s a big pipe that runs under the road can’t miss it
