Just a tip ,You should put a measurement on your butt part of your pole, just put a 10inch mark on the end of your rod then you dont have to go get your fish tape and leave the fish out of water to long.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll be doing that. Thanks for watching!🤙

Brah I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to take n kill that uhu, they’re valuable for our reef n too much divers n fisherman killin em off. Sad to see such a important specie die the way it did with a bunch of hyenas cackling in the back
@SaltwatersHawaii4 жыл бұрын
Sorry for your concern, but we live in Oahu and taking uhu is allowed as long as it’s over 12”. We were super stoked because it was unexpected and we never catch uhu.
@user-oi9dn4ej5g4 жыл бұрын
Saltwaters Hawai’i I guess different rules for Oahu, Maui cannot take any so thought it applied to all other islands. It’s funny cuz Oahu’s probably more polluted than Maui u would think they would try to protect the uhu out there. Sorry for the misunderstanding I love your channel braddah.

Thanks for watching brah! I honestly wish the DLNR would make all regulations on Oahu stricter cause not many fish compared to other islands.

You should always measure a questionable catch on camera. That omilu looked undersized and even if it wasn’t, to your viewers, without proof it might as well be. Just a tip but either way cool stuff man.
@SaltwatersHawaii4 жыл бұрын
That’s a good idea, I could easily tell it was legal but on camera you can never really tell. Thanks for the tip!
@smokajoint8084 жыл бұрын
If you gotta check if it’s legal size let um go. People dont known how to let fish go anymore. Bum bai you learn. Only the old timers that actually live off the land know

these are just KIDS and they know what they're doing. They having good clean fun. There are worst things that these kids could be doing but they prefer to stay out of trouble and fish.... No grumble be humble. Keep up the great videos!
@letskanikapila4 жыл бұрын
Why quijote and plenty fish markets stay selling manini kine fish too but oh no body complain about that. Plenty “old timers” too take home fish not legal but oh what just cuz we young we don’t know better? Obviously somebody had to teach us right?

When I saw the thumbnail, I was wondering how you caught a pananu with a pole at night since they are always sleeping at night. Great catch! One of my favorite fish to eat 🤙🏽

Nice Pananu! I usually steam it Chinese style when I get them spearfishing. Best out of all the uhu cause the meat is soft. Congrats!!!

Do you always use fresh tako or do you buy frozen from store too?
