With water temps in the low 50's most of the baitfish leave the area in search of warmer water. And following in suit, most of the predatory fish leave as well. But usually there's a few halibut that will stay around. And if you put in the time, there's a pretty good chance of finding one.

Thanks for sharing your craft with the world! I'm a born and raised freshwater angler, due mostly to to geography...and perhaps some financial limitations. 😉 Channels like yours keep this guy's interest piqued for the saltier side of life! 😆 Stay well, and keep your lines tight brother!

@@Mr.Markus. Did some bottom fishing in Mexico on my honeymoon about 6 years ago, after waiting my whole 30 years of life at that point. Lol. Was legit a dream come true! Caught a few...one red, and two that were purple and blue, that I (clearly) had no idea what they were 😉...prolly a few pounds a piece...but it was too choppy on the day that we had booked with the guide to stay out more than an hour or so, or to go out too far/for bigger game (the wife still got seasick anyways, lol). My only experience to date, though. Praying to get out again, some day! And thanks for your channel. Been subbed for maybe a year or so, since you hit my recommendations (sometimes the utoob algorithm gets it right! 😉). Stay well brother, and sorry for the essay!

Its a J-1 jet drive made by Bixpy. Thing is awesome. I run the battery for like 6 hours every time I'm out there and it has never let me down. Doesn't go crazy fast or anything but great for cruising and slow trolling live baits.

Enjoy your Bixpy jet. I have been using one for the last three years. You might want to wear your remote on your wrist to make it easier to control.

I love that thing. I've had it for a LONG time now. Almost 2 years and I haven't had a single issue. Well except when I beached my kayak with the motor still down. Hahaha. Broke the mount in half. But they were awesome helping me get it fixed. I run that thing on one battery for like 5-6 hours. Like 1-2mph slow trolling live baits. It works awesome.

@@Mr.Markus. I have an Oldtown Bigwater 132pdl and I was thinking about getting a Bixpy for it. Did you get it with the Bixpy Battery?
@Mr.Markus.
@Mr.Markus. Жыл бұрын
@@GrimReaper68440 Yeah bixby battery. I actually got a 2nd battery and bring it every time but rarely use it. Those things last. But you're not gonna be ripping all over the ocean. My kayak is a 2016 Outback. Not super light, but it tops out around 4mph. I usually can run it all day but just cruising at like 1-2mph.
