You could have also checked the back up save file, by pressing the X, B, and UP buttons on the D-Pad simultaneously from the start menu (where you see it say “Pokémon Violet” and the background is of your dorm room). 💁‍♂️ Ya know, for next time.

This happened to me on my first shiny, my shiny paldean wooper, luckily I was unable to accept it wasn’t there and restarted again

Sometimes when you reset a shiny it disappears but its still in the pool of pokemon that appear before you. It's happened to me before! You just need to reset again and or despawn a few of the normal pokemon to get it to spawn again~

Yeah I was just abt to say that. It happened to me with Shiny Iron Treads because I resetted because I wanted it in a Heavy Ball
