Here's some advice from an ol' yankee walleye fisherman. I guarantee that there were eyes in that rapids area. Now here is how to catch them Mika....... take your herring colored jig and drop it into one of the current breaks. Point your kayak upriver and pedal just fast enough to slowly drift downriver. Jig in slow 6" lifts to begin with, trying really really hard to get your pace so your line to the jig is straight up and down. If you dont catch one on your first drift vary your jigging cadence by going shorter and slower, or jigging faster and snappier. The walleye will tell you what they want. The technique is called vertical jigging and has put more golden filets in the pan than any other method there is. Go get them Mika!

I haven’t been watching your videos long and love them. I live in SC. I just found out you and your family live at Lake Murray. We are near Edgefield, SC. I haven’t been camping in a long time. I got ovarian cancer and will have my last chemo May 16. March 5, 2024 I had major surgery, 14 hours long. I am looking forward to camping again. Lake Thurmond and hopefully other places. I want to fish also. We do a lot of kayaking when we camp. You have a beautiful wife and children. I am 70 and have two boys and two girls. The girls have done so much for me and my husband. I thank God for them. Keep making videos. I know I’m way behind but I watch your videos when I am not feeling well. God bless you.

Saluda lake is an excellent lake for crappie/bream if interested. Enjoyed the vid. The Chatuga is awesome for whitewater rafting with lots of class 4 and 5 rapids, not for the faint of heart but recommended for those looking for a HIGH ADVENTURE!!!

Hey Micah! Loved the video today, I’ve been watching for YEARS, always great content from you, love your brother and your dad, too! I had an idea for a video, and I want to challenge you. I want you to design a bait for each water column (deep, shallow, and top water) and carve them from wood, then put them to use and make a nice hour long video of the whole thing. Bring wood sealer, some UV resin, some paint and a brush, the terminal tackle and hardware (like screw eyes), sandpaper and a carving knife or box cutter with you on your next High Adventure. Camp, create, and catch, clean, cook! Keep it up, thank you for the fun, and I really enjoyed seeing the family. I can feel the love! 😊

Chili also originally did not have onions or beans or tomato sauce in it, it's base was chili paste. Chili, curry means gravy and I can't imagine Bean in my breakfast gravy or brown gravy or turkey gravy. On the Old wagon wheel road they would get left with just meat, beans and gravy so they would just throw it all together just to have food to eat. The fishing looks fun and the fish is good to eat.

I love catching bluegill and where i live in washington there is like one place to find em. Most lakes do not have any decent panfish. Walleye are super lazy and they’ll always be on rock ledges. Theres a bunch of em in the columbia river but only in certain places
