When u get hooked up on one keep the other down often when u land it you'll have another cuz reeling it in attracts others. I've gotten a few extra halibut off a kayak from that this year
@thesantacruzsurfcaster62314 жыл бұрын
I had to bring it up because it was caught on my other line

@@thesantacruzsurfcaster6231 Oh yea fs, I'll just usually keep my other line down and reel it up the other side but whatever works. Nice video though, always fun to be out with Adam

Glad you got the heavy stick going your bound to hook into one of the W.S, Bass that have been moving from the ship to the point. A 3 and 1/2 ounce luhr jensen Deep Six Diver with bait and lures in 50ft has worked pretty well for both WSB and halibut. Congrads on the big halibut .

Right on ! Can’t wait to try that drop shot you showed on one of your other vids. Waiting for the plastics to arrive. Stores around here are pretty low on fishing supplies.

Geez really nice bait. Everything looked so prime bro. Crazy got one in the swim bait over live bait. And quick thinkin cutting line
@thesantacruzsurfcaster62314 жыл бұрын
Yeah I missed him on the Mack and must have hit him on the head with the swimbait. I've been killing it on lures lately even with live baits in the water

Great video; fine weather and seas, your yak looks pretty cozy but you make it look easy in it. How's Adam's hand?

Are you just letting that mackerel hit the bottom and stay there?

Nice vid, saving the bait for next trip/vid? Does that mean more kayak vid?

It's a 13 foot Hobie Kona. It is a two person kayak but It has a center seat to be used with one person. The extra room is defiantly nice for fishing.

It looked like you’re penn rival didn’t have a level wind. Is that just a different model, or did you take it off?
@thesantacruzsurfcaster62314 жыл бұрын
I took it off
@thomasducker62214 жыл бұрын
I think I may do the same because after a while the level wind gets corroded and will get stuck.
@thesantacruzsurfcaster62314 жыл бұрын
@@thomasducker6221 yeah you can actually cast with it too after you take it off
