Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and we are now in the process of growing our family through #adoption. We have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

I remember crabbing with my grandparents in the puget sound, just down the road from where we used to live when I was a child. It was so much fun! In looking forward to fresh seafood at lower prices, and even catching some myself soon!

Some of my fondest memories is crabbing with my grandfather in Maryland and bring them home and the entire family sitting around the table covered with newspaper, picking them apart sipping on a freezing Coke cola. Of course Pop pop had a cold beer.

Shavua Tov guys! I get to see my little brother after the long weekend too! We’re babysitting his little dog while he goes to a friend’s funeral down in Essex on Wednesday. We haven’t seen each other in person for over a year thanks to COVID-19. Tomorrow is the Hebrew anniversary of losing our Mum, so I’ll be lighting a 25 hour memorial candle for her in our dining room as soon as Shabbat ends xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Loved it.... It took me back to my Bohemian days living on Galveston, Beach. It was our gap year between college and beginning life. We used chicken necks and tied them to a rope and threw it out in the surf and pulled it in slow, and we caught a lot of crabs. You brought back my youth. Enjoy your time home and shear as much as possible. Thank you! Be safe!🙏♥️

Fascinating video! I had absolutely no idea what all was involved in catching blue crabs. And bull lips as bait! I wonder who discovered that blue crabs were partial to bull lips?! Quite a haul you brought home and WHAT A FEAST!! Love that you had past memories to reflect upon as well. Much love to you all as you continue to enjoy your weekend together 🤗❤️❤️🙏🏼😘🐕🐱

What a great day!! I loved being a part and hearing about your childhood, Peter. I can not relate at all, born and raised in Indiana and still live here. I have been a scuba diver and have had fresh crab, but had no idea how a trot line worked or any of that! And what a booty of 🦀! Yum! Thanks for taking me along!!!💕

My parents grew up in Maryland. I was raised in NC. Grew up going to Oak island every summer and we would go crabbing in the sound. We used rancid chicken neck (let it sit in the sun all day) tied on a rope and thrown out in the sound. You slowly pull it in and have someone else with a net scoop up the crabs. After a few years we bought some crab pots and started renting beach houses sound side with docks and we would put the chicken necks in the crab pots and throw them out in the sound.

Thank you for the crabbing adventures…..brings back such memories for me. My grandma had family in DE and MD, and I grew up eating Maryland Blues since I was 5…..and her family would bring crabs and clams to Chicago in a hard-sided suitcase when they came to visit us. I’m a pretty good crab picker if I do say so myself! Old Bay 4 Ever! Cheering you on from Chicago! ♥️
