I didn’t but my brother and his buddy hunted that spot opening day and got the biggest buck ever taken off that WMA. I was supposed to go as my brothers guest but canceled to go mullet fishing and my replacement shot it🤣

Recreational 50. If you are commercial with SPL and Restricted Species Endorsement like I have, no limit.

I'm glad the gillnets are gone. You guys seemed to do okay without them. I remember the "bycatch" from the old days. Snook, trout, reds, pompano, and everything else got scooped up in those things.

Gillnets are still legal, just instead of wide mesh that let small fish go through, the mesh is small enough to kill all the species you mention, but as small fry. What’s the sense in that

Also you will find them closer to inlets from the Gulf of Mexico as the season goes into mid and late November. Keep in mind these fish move in groups with each passing cold front.

Come mid December they will head offshore 30 to 60 miles to spawn out and return.
