Catching Panfish on Light Tackle (Bluegill & Shellcracker)

In this video, we'll do some ultralight panfishing for Bluegill and Shellcracker using ultralight gear and Trout Magnets!
The Trout Magnet Lures, Jig Heads, and SOS Fishing Line used in this video can be purchased online at TroutMagnet.com. You can also find them at Walmart, Bass Pro Shops, and other retailers.
I purchased my Pond Prowler 8 fishing boat from my local Bass Pro Shops store. They are also available in a 10’ version that comes with two seats.

Thanks so much! Ultralight fishing is so much fun. It’s the only kind of fishing I do these days. Shellcracker are a blast on 2lb line. As long as you set your drag accordingly, you can land almost anything with light crackle. Good luck out there and stay safe!🙏🐟

Thank you so much! That’s one of my favorite features of the Daiwa Revros. It has a nice sounding drag. If you don’t already follow his channel, check out Randy Goad over at @troutmagnetman . He’s an incredible ultralight angler and uses lightweight ester line with a lot of his JDM setups. You should hear the drag on some of those nice reels…. It’s music to the ears. He also catches a ton of big slab panfish. One of my favorite anglers to watch here on KZbin.

Thank you! Definitely one of my favorites so far. I have a Bass Pro Micro Lite that is similar in feel and enjoy it, too. I hope to try some new and different ultralight rods out in the future. But for the price point, I love the Presso rods.

@@pistolcreek Have to agree. Best Ultra lite rod in it's price point. I have a 7' Presso paired with a Shimano C2000S from Japan. Sweet! Both are really good in the under $100 price arena. The Sahara is also a great match aesthetically. (Have you ever tried some of the small plastics from Creek Life Lure Co, Moondog Bait Co, or Big Bite Baits? - would be a few fun videos!!!)
