So if you want to actually catch fish, don't use this lure...

It's the presentation. Perch have excellent eyesight so if the "worm" is too close to the weight or if the hook is too big and obvious they won't go for it. Also, there's far too much wiggling here. The weight should be stationary on the bottom with only the worm moving

Maybe if the Soft Plastic was actually hooked in the Head , and not the Body it might give a more natural Movement in the Water
@MrAgnosticman2 жыл бұрын
try jigging next, the weights are either getting in the way when you try and jig it, or they move way too much and pulls the fishes attention away from the hook. If you want to drop shot, use live bait like worms or minnows. They will move for you.

Good video actually. Learn a lot from this.

4:26 that lead is more entertaining than the bait itself :))

Fish were interested in the worm that was being correctly teased with the weight remaining on the bottom. The other worm with the weight above the bottom flopping around garnered no interest.

Live bait is always the way if that was nightcrawlers those fish would have been done along time ago

I keep wanting to use lures, but hell man, I catch the most fish by far on worms. I'm fairly new to walleye fishing and I've caught more of them dragging a worm than I have with any type of jig or plastic. Hell I even get pike on worms from time to time. Worms catch fish.

Yeah, I didn't see a single fish caught. A bobber and a real worm always worked for me.

Looks good, but... I dont like how the worm is hooked... Just dont look natural... If you can try other methods of putting it will be great

Typical behaviour of winter perch

They don't want that red plastic. Put a minnow on and I bet they will nail that left and right. Bottom bouncers should have 2 hooks with minnows and a lighter weight that you leave on the bottom and let the minnows do their thing. One minnow a foot off bottom and one two feet up. You can get some doubles that way. Never spend that long watching fish deny a lure. Switch up after 5 minutes at the most.

Why did they attack the weight
@grzegorzczarnecki89063 жыл бұрын
Because it's move, also lay on the ground when perches take food from ground in winter

Smaller lure probably. something you might use for trout for of worked like those tiny worms with rubber little squid legs. Trout jig I think it's called lol
