Hey Ross...what flex casting rod are you using to throw that grass pig? I'm mostly a spin cast guy, but wanting to dip into baitcast gear...can you throw a 1/4oz jig or spoon with the med/heavy (or I mean throw a good distance)?

The Grass Pig bait is a bit of a hidden treasure. I have used them for redfish in NC/SC, after reading an article by Jot Owens, who is a guide in Wilmington. It's a great bait. Do you just slow roll it or twitch it? I use a green/white grass pig, but admit that I dip the tail with some chartreuse.

As shallow is the water is in this video, do you think I could get a 17' Carolina Skiff in there? I've had the boat a couple years but have not had the guts to see how skinny I could get. I do have a trolling motor on it.

Great video but you only show landing and tossing fish back over and over... We'd like to see you actually work a lure, set the hook and land the fish. There was no info on how to work the spook or the worm. I have a 16' Ski Barge with a wet inner hull problem (Being solved as we speak) so it sits way lower than it should. I'm setting this thing up to fish Redfish bay and the areas around Conn Brown Harbor. I haven't boat fished that area in about 20+ years. I've asked around for help but no one has come forward so I'm researching on my own by watching videos and reading Forum posts. Thanks in advance, Manuel Z

Ross, Thanks! I've been binge watching your videos for the past few days. I should have my boat out there in the next couple weeks. I keep seeing a large structure with 4 huge legs/pillars. Is that in the same area near Aransas Pass?

Do you have to have a trolling motor for Redfish bay or are you allowed to idle in no prop zones?

You can use your big motor as long as it’s not hitting the bottom.
