Finally caught him last night was so happy 55lb line after 4 hours of searching and no luck I left for a few came back about an hour later gave it one last try before going to bed last night ended up hooking him on the same 4/0 jig with the worm. Was holding jig the whole way down and reeled in at 3x while jigging the whole time I was reeling in.

Spent 3 days and finally got a bite. Lasted 20 min and at 20 feet from my boat he bolted 280+ feet and snapped my line. I didn't give up, left that server and went to another one. 8 hours same spot and no bite. Someone boats next to me and get it within 30 min. Honestly done with this game because of that. The RNG is terrible and it's a waste of time. Back to The Fisherman I go. Good luck with the game though, Call of the Wild: Arcade RNG Edition.

That’s quite literally how fishing works in real life…. Imagine playing a sim game and complaining it actually simulates life….. and how do you know that person hasn’t been hunting that fish for hours on end and just switched servers themselves? It just sounds like you have zero patience to try and catch a once in a life time fish in real life…… you gave up after 8 hours meanwhile people in real life go 60-70 years waiting to even see a fish like that lol hell there are people in the game who spends months on end doing hunts for specific fish that aren’t even legandray they just want diamond 💀

Even tho I had 260 something ft of line, and snapped 55lb fluro, 🤷‍♂️ was happy to have encountered him. I think I'm gonna go outside now lol😅 level 0 to like 45 in about about a week. Those lake trout are awesome

I think the reason it takes you so long to catch fish is because you constantly reel, I’ve noticed when the fish try to run hard it only lets out more line when you try to reel against it. I try to just hold the reel up when they run and when they’re done you can drag them up much faster.

I caught him on the DLC Gilgamesh rod with the 39 lb braided, and the mediator reel. Only took 24 minutes to reel him in. Just be patient with him. Let him take out line and keep the tension on him. Don't pull back on rod at all. Just reel in and adjust tension as needed. Eventually he'll tire out and you can reel him right to the boat. Only when he is reeling in at a constant pace do I pull back on rod to bring him in. He likes to tease you though. Right when you get him to the boat, he will peel line out again. I got him on the second reel in.

Please explain: where is the challenge here? You know where the fish will be. You know precisely what rig to use. And even the exact way to fish.... Surely anyone could do this? Wouldn't it mean more if you had no idea where the fish was to start with?

This knowledge has been compiled by people getting out there, finding his locations, And learning what he likes over the course of months. It was not like this when he first released as no info about him was known. Its all info the discord community has compiled together to help everyone out in finding him. The primary challenge with him is the weight and strength of the fish. Along with even just hooking him in the first place as he has a very large patrol range in those 4 locations. Even tho he has set locations he can roam thousands of feet around them. Some people fish for days and never hook him while targeting specifically him like I was. I spent his last rotation looking for hours and never found him. I got very lucky this time as i got him 30 minutes after going to the general area. Think of it as a local fish story type of thing. "Some locals saw a giant lake trout unlike any other moving at the speed of sound. This was where they saw him! Go try to get him"
