I usually let it drop all the way down and get crushed by bigger bass on the retrieve or the drop. Look for the deeper coves with consistent drop off. But the shade color all day, nice catches.

@@BassUnion not at all! I also changed my hooks out two more sticky hooks. I wrap a little bit a very small solder around the hooks to give it a little added weight.

Only way to learn any bait is to pick a time of the year it is "supposed to work" and lock it in your hand till you get them to eat.

That's what hurts about Oroville just sooooo many fish that are under 2 lbs, you can catch 100 fish and a day and I wouldn't be surprised if you caught only 2 over 2 lbs.
