Thanks so much for the fantastic question Nosa. The cloth I use for my inner covers is thick artist canvas. I buy a large roll at the craft store and cut pieces from it over several seasons. You can reuse the covers year after year. I'll put an affiliate link to some here: amzn.to/3oFYuUH

Thanks for the video. I am new to bee keeping this year and have not caught a swarm, when you moved the frame full of bees from the bucket could you then dump the remaining bees from the bucket directly into the box?

Yes absolutely could have done that, but sometimes it's better to let the bees decide to accept the cavity you are putting them in instead of forcing them into one. Especially since this swarm just caste itself a few hours before this happened. Either way bees in a box are better than bees in a tree! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

Wow, I am enchanted. I wanna get bees this spring and the wild bees are just now traveling. And my friend sets me up with 2 nucleus boxes. I have watched another video of where and how to drill holes in it, but he also melted down a old comb with some wax, painted the inside and the top of the lid with it. Drilled one bigger hole ( so that the finger gets through) , then 4 holes under the lip around the bigger hole and then 4 little ones on the bottom. 7.64 drill he used. So I wonder how you do it and where would I get a comb from? You seemed so confident moving the comb. I m truly enchanted and amazed and so desire to have bees

And do I need a comb and lure scent such as lemongrass scent? Or would lemongrass scent be enough? I m so excited
