when you think about it, nothing is ever truly immune to the "Wear of Time", rock erodes and crumbles over time, even the strongest of steel oxidizes over time, now as for Regice....it makes even less sense in Clover as it states it was melted by intense heat when the pokedex literally states that is completely IMPOSSIBLE, that it would flash freeze even magma by just being near it, perhaps their delta variants would explain this?

Well Registeel is near indestructable and cannot rust since it's body isn't made of metal, Regirock can pull itself back together no matter the damage and it can't erode, and Regice can't melt even in boiling lava so whoever attacked the Regi trio must've been extremely powerful to cause them infinite suffering since they can't die.
