I low key would've thought maybe Regidoom is just Giratina's version of Regigigas. And it's children would be: Regiflare, Regiviolence, Regitide, Regidust, and Regifae. It creates a nice type triangle between the three. And I know both Ice and Steel are weak to Fire, and all three of the original Regi trio and Regigigas are weak to fighting, but I have limited choices. This entire Lore is just my headcanon. Lore before the song: Regidoom, in envy of Regigigas, wanted to be free, and therefore escaped the distortion world in secret. Regidoom created exact opposites of Regigigas' kids, first with Regitide, the water that is always moving, to combat and erode Regirock. Regieleki however took down Regitide, but Regirock was just fully eroded. In frustration, Regidoom created Regidust, the everlasting dust devil. To absorb the entirety of Regieleki's energy, but was taken down by Regice. In more frustration, Regiflare was created, after all, who could stop the fire that never gets extinguished? Regice was then melted, however.. Regidrago came in. And extinguished Regiflare by enclosing it in it's mandible jaw arm things. Regifae, the blinding light, was then created, and Regidrago fled/hid away, taking it's brother, Regieleki, with him. Giving Regieleki energy to become revived via Dragon Energy. And Registeel handled Regifae, and took it down. Then, Registeel handled Regiviolence with extreme difficulty, making Registeel break down every few seconds, and lost limbs. The corpses of Regidust, Regitide, and Regiflare, was in it's way too. Causing Registeel to rust. Ultimately, Regigigas saw his 3 original creations destroyed, yet in a way still alive. Barely. With Regidoom standing above them. The trio turned against their own father unwillingly. Which led to this moment. Lore after the song, but before the games: Regigigas killed and sent Regidoom back into the distortion world. Took his 3 creations, and prayed to Arceus to revive them. He couldn't simply make new children. It wouldn't be the same. And in mourning. Regigigas buried himself away at snowpoint temple. Little did he know Arceus did revive his children shortly after Regigigas left. Lore before Red and Blue, but after Legends Arceus: One person in Hoenn, brave enough to do so, caught Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, The other 2 were still taking refuge in the Crown Tundra or Hoenn. Soon after, 2 Residents of the Crown Tundra caught Regieleki, but didn't know anything about them. However when on a boat, the people who caught all the Regis died, however since they died, the Regis were released as soon as the Pokeballs they were contained in hit land in Sinnoh by being washed up, they then reunited, then they all went back to where they could be found in the games today. This took me a lot of time to come up with and write.

Regidoom does all three at the end of each other turn, but has his own mechanic, thus being him able to take your notes AND your health.

my regidoom head canon; failed regispirit prototype wants revenge for not being made and before the electric, dragon and dark [dark = regishadow btw] can be send off for sword and shield regispirit grabs regishadow while they were being send over, fused too it and escapes and only the electric and dragon regis made it, but when regigigas found out, he went searching and found old prototypes of the og regitrio being controlled and after following them back it led to the song
