Each plays a positive role in her steady progress. Bella is smart and very observant of everyone. In 8 weeks, She bonded with her humans and settled into her new herd family. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I meant to comment yesterday when you put Bella in the field for the first time with the boys, as I was just imagining how much joy you must have felt stood watching your herd of all 3 of your horses, all of whom show what love, respect and gentleness can do by their devotion to you. It shows in everything you do in your family be it humans or animals. I can't help talking to them all as though I was there in person, telling them how beautiful they are inside and out. I'm glad I waited though as today's clip has taken my breath away with how much you have progressed with doe-eyed Bella (she always reminds me of a young doe with those long lashes of her's and big almond shaped eyes). I keep thinking back to the wild eyed, gaunt and scared horse in that dark stall when you visited her to the show stopping young lady in such a short period of time. I've managed to surprise myself because purely from going on so many pleasant hacks with you, I got my lot together and went for our first lesson for 'Rusty Rider's' in a really good stables here, right by the beach (in Cornwall where I live, lucky me), for when we progress to that stage. I must admit with all the practice I have had going out with you 😋 I was amazed that I wasn't as sure as I thought I would be perched up high on a 17 hands pretty paint mare called Star LOL. It is certainly going to take a while to find my seat but I am just delighted as I thought my time in a saddle was very much over. Thank you so much for inspiring me.

🤣😂🤣 how'd you know we were all wondering if you had Ubered Farouk? You know us so well. You should do a tutorial on how you took Bella from the kicking youngster to the successful farrier visit. It's a lovely progression, to include these highlights: glove on lunge whip, nonambiguos commands (foot, foot forward), touch then pick up then hold 20 seconds, stool, tapping. Apollo, Rens' heart horse! Lovely seeing all three in the field. Bella does come willingly when the boys are there...🥰🥰🥰

Hello all from nz. What a thrill watching the beautiful Bella loading, being in the field like a big girl and behaving so well with her feet!! Her progress is great. Three magnificent horses. 😎🐎🐎🐎 Isn’t Her coat lovely with the dapple showing through. She is very calm and sensible, loved how she had such a good steady look around the field when she first arrived,. The boys are very good with her bless them. I’d forgotten how interesting it is to see a young horse learning things for the first time, such a critical stage and she couldn’t have a better trainer. I do admire your approach to it all. 👍 Right, I’m off to get straw and soil for my veggie garden then I can plant it up, my dog will be right there supervising like ikey, 😁 bye bye for now.

I'm 62 and have been without a horse for 24 years. It's fun to live vicariously through your videos. I had a beautiful American Saddlebred that I showed. I miss it so much. 💖

Well she's so much better with her feet. It's helped by feeling able to eat the treats. Also I like the way you are actually quite firm with her. She's understanding that she can't just get away with things but when you say 'no', you mean 'NO'. You're not spoiling her but being firm and gentle. I think you're going to end up with a really super mare.

That was delightful. So enjoyed seeing how Bella is learning the routines and to see what comes next. I wonder if the farrier would be willing to give you a worn-out rasp so she can get used to the sound and feel of that. Ours did for some very green ponies we had. Made his job a bit easier with one more thing they were familiar with.

Everytime you're teaching something to Bella, I'm amazed at how good natured she is. Mares have the reputation of having a bit of a temper, but she really is proving that mares are just as excellent as any other horses! (granted I've got a life subscription to mares so I may be biased hahaha)

That went really well a little hesitant but calm going in the box leaving Apollo behind in the field. They all waited their turn for treats at the gate patiently. Bella a little to keen to get back near to Apollo and some din dins lol. Farouk as muddy as ever he makes me smile how he looks for the muddy patches. Bella has soft eyes and certainly blossomed and grown in confidence and Apollo has helped in her confidence out doors. Farouk feels confident now to say I am next in the hierarchy to her. Yes her mane has had a good nibble at , I would braid it less likely then to get broken by grooming and thicken what's left in her thin patches.x🐎💜💟💛

It's too bad we didn't see her in the shelter. She is now looking like a filly properly handled from birth. She's bold but, heck, we expect kids to be cheeky every so often. This is wonderful.

I agree. It does make me think perhaps that while she was with her mom in the field she learned manners and good horsey behavior. I think weaning, human handling, trailer loading, etc. was really traumatic for her. We saw how traumatic loading Diablo was, wrenching him from him mother so suddenly. I really think the breeder was surprised bc they had been handling him. Oh well, I think it all worked out for the best. Bella is doing really well now and fits with Tara and her boys. I truly admire Tara and Rens for making such a tough decision and to do it publically; good on them. ❤🐎❤🐎
